bringing you new birmingham

Vulcan Has a Fade is a non-profit bringing you interviews of the people of  Birmingham and Lyme Disease Awareness. You will hear business owners, non-profits, artists, musicians, writers, athletes, and individuals from Birmingham and surrounding communities. The format will be 10 to 15 minute interviews. Occasionally, we will have some off topic conversations. If you want to keep up with what's going on, people stories, moving downtown, or just visiting then listen to one of the speakers of interest. If you would like to be interviewed for your upcoming event, contact Scott Kitchens at scottkitchens@icloud.com.

Also, we are dedicated to raising awareness for Lyme Disease. 329,000 new cases of lyme disease are diagnosed each year in the US according to the CDC. 7 counties in Alabama have been declared endemic according the the Alabama Health Department. We are here for education, prevention, and help. Vulcan Has a Fade sets up spray stations for outdoor events for Lyme Disease prevention. If you would like us to set up for your event, please email Scott Kitchens at scottkitchens@icloud.com.

The Crew

Scott Kitchens - Host and creator

Scott moved to Birmingham in 2000 from the little old town of Jasper where he played a whole lot of tennis. Did you know Merle from Walking Dead is from Jasper? His passion is meeting people, learning about different culture, music, giving back to the community, raising awareness for lyme disease, and business philosophy. His idea for this podcast began with being an Ambassador to TEDx Birmingham, the need to share talks of ideas and the people making a difference in our city. Birmingham has been under a revitalization over the last 10+ years and the podcast will help spread the exciting news coming from Birmingham. The two things that Scott enjoy the most are "C&C", that stands for concerts and coffee!
